Conditions of Hire
1) The person named in the applications shall be the hirer and shall be personally responsible for ensuring that these conditions are complied with in all respects.
2) The organisation referred to in the hiring application shall be jointly and severally liable with the Hirer for complying with this agreement.
3) The whole building and grounds has been designated a NON-
4) The Hirer agrees:-
a) To ensure that s/he or some other persons authorised in writing by them is present throughout the period of the hire.
b) To ensure that the premises are not used for any purpose other than that stated in the hire application.
c) To accept full responsibility for Public Liability conditions, and indemnify the Church against all costs and claims in respect of injury to any person using the premises except for circumstances caused by the negligence of the Church or its agents.
d) To compensate the Church for any damage caused to the building or to any apparatus or appliances belonging to the Church during the period of hire or as a result of any breach of this agreement.
e) To compensate the Church should any theft occur of any items during the period of hire or as a result of any breach of this agreement.
f) To ensure that any fire apparatus on the premises is not interfered with
g) To ensure that at no time is any emergency exit from the premises locked or obstructed.
h) To ensure that the premises are left in the same clean and tidy condition in which they were found. Tables, chairs and other items stacked and/or tidied away and floors swept.
i) The Church reserves the right of entry to the premises at all times during the period of hire.
j) The Church shall not be responsible and liable for any damage to or loss of property left in the premises by the Hirer or any other person.
k) The Church reserves the right to cancel this agreement for any good reason beyond its control.
l) Rooms are hired on an hourly basis and charges are available on request. The Church reserves the right to increase these charges in line with inflation and utility price rises.
